Just when I think ...

... there is nothing new in the world of mothering for me, I hit a new high.

Or low.

Whichever way you want to look at it.

Hannah has an ear infection. The whining that has ensued over the last FIVE days (yes! JB diagnosed this on Monday!) has not been equalled in my seven and a half years of being a mother. I had no idea whining to this extent and at this level was possible.

I am beyond weary. I am so tired of the whining I've resorted to whispering, really softly, so that it doesn't even start to escalate into me losing my patience. Her nose is so raw. All she keeps saying is, "I need a hug Mommy," which is the cute and sweet part intermingled with crying and sobbing that seems to go on without ceasing.

7:31pm.

Kids in bed.

Time to plug in my battery and get ready to go at it again. JB works three days in a row starting tomorrow. In-laws are out of town. Praying tomorrow she somehow, miraculously, can speak without whining and crying and snot going everywhere.

One can hope.
