Turkey Update

Today has been a very productive week in regards to our Turkey move. While we don't have things finalized (should happen any day), we found out today that we will most likely get our house here entirely packed up before the end of June and be completely moved out of our house on Base here by the first week of July. We should also have a few weeks in our family in South Florida before we head to Baltimore for our flight out of here. In addition, we got word that it appears Scrubs should have no problem getting his own "seat" on our rotator flight to Incirlik. Thank you one and all for your prayers. Things are really falling into place. There are still a lot of details to iron out.

. . . and poor JB. Today the TMO (Traffic Management Office) called me after John went into work and said that they needed JB to come by their office and sign some paperwork. So when he finished his clinic this afternoon, he drove all the way across Base. He went into the TMO office, but they had no idea what he was talking about! So he stopped by the house since I was cleaning dirty diapers and hadn't picked up the phone. He asked me if I was positive it was the TMO office that called. I was. So he called them back. Aaaahh, yes, okay, now they can find the papers he needs to sign! Seriously!? Then they tell him that he can sign them at his debriefing next week. We both really had to not work on grumbling in this case. We tried to figure out why they called in the first place if he didn't need to sign it until next week anyways? And then, why they didn't know what he needed to sign when he got there. After giving each other some funny faces, we both refrained from going off about the disorganization and confusion we continue to encounter and instead just chalked it up to "part of the adventure."
