Commonality

My mother-in-law sent this to me an email. See if you can figure it out. What do these seven words have in common?

1. Banana
2. Dresser
3. Grammar
4. Potato
5. Revive
6. Uneven
7. Assess

Ok, we think it is, if you take away the first letter, all the other letters of the word are the same backwards and forwards.

I was thinking that if you take the first consonant off the front and put it on the back it still spells the same word backwards...

...then i thought maybe it's simpler --each word has two consonants alike (at least) and two vowels alike (at least?

I agree with the others, take off the first letter and the rest of the letters are the same forward and backward. Fun!

Yes!!

Answer: In all of the words listed, if you take the first letter, place it at the end of the word, and then spell the word backwards, it will be the same word.

Did you figure it out? No? Then send to more people and stump them as well. Then, you'll feel better too.
