How cool is this!? Not only did my friend Joia from my wifia days at Eglin drive down to see me for a few days, but there was a Turkish festival ... Turkish ... I kid you not ... in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Everyone was speaking Turkish. Turkish flags. Turkish food. Turkish pottery. Getting to show my parents and Joia some of our life in Turkey wsa very fun. And getting to talk to Joia over a blizzard at Dairy Queen? Amazing. Man did I miss my friend.
