Mother's Day

To my own mother and my mother-in-law and my grandmothers, a huge, amazing Happy Mother's Day.

To everyone out there who is grieving today -- grieving the loss of their own mothers or the loss of a child or the loss of a dream, I have thought of you throughout the day today. I have prayed for you when everyone in church is standing and you are not. I have prayed for your heart today.

You are not alone! I love and pray for each of you today and everyday.

At church our pastor had all the new moms stand up, and all of the moms 90 years old plus. I told my husband, "I don't think I can stand up, knowing that there are breaking hearts here today," then I wasn't asked. I was relieved. I also felt guilty because in not wanting to stand up was I disregarding God's blessings? Hmmm.

Thanks, Wen... Mother's Day IS a hard day for a lot of people and it's comforting that you posted this...

Mmmm... thanks Wendi. Mother's Day is never an easy one for me. I'm usually OK until I get to church -- that's the hardest. Walking through the entrance and seeing all the moms get their carnation, and then having that physical reminder that yet another year has passed without getting to participate. I'm thankful to have a loving husband and caring friends though who understand and know what I go through on that day.

I am so sad that I missed the post requesting cards for Bri. What a brave, generous, and blessed young woman she is! I am in total awe of how you have all come together to be Issac's "family"! Only God could knit such a successful web of people to love your children! Way to go, God! Happy Birthday Bri & Issac! Smiling Angel

Thanks to you, I also said a prayer for all the grieving mothers today while I was standing.
