Isaac and Elijah are currently obsessed with anything that has a motor. Elijah says "car" about 8,000 times a day. He is also saying "bus" and "tractor."
I had no idea, as a mother, that I would find myself learning the names of machinery. No one tells you this in those "what to expect" books.
As I glanced through pictures of the last week in our house, I realized that things with wheels is definitely a predominant theme.
Pushing the stroller (seen in the background) is one of our favorite outside games. Trying to squeeze water into your little brother's mouth, is another.
Bikes!
Before our failed attempt at a Mother's Day brunch, JB and the boys investigated a fire truck parked outside the Officer's Club. Obsession was intensified!
All of Isaac's Kit. family (grandparents, aunts, and uncles) went in on a little police car "Flintstone mobile." Isaac loves it. So does Elijah. Isaac keeps calling it "Paul the Police car" after a favorite book he has. At one point we found him in the vehicle but his legs stuck out through the back window, politely yelling "Need help! Need help!"
Grama Di and Papa bought Isaac a "Yewwow school bus" for his birthday. Joni and Bri contributed with trains. Joia gave him a pick-up truck. Andrea a lightning McQueen. I definitely think we have all the major modes of transportation well-covered in our house.
Now we just have to figure out how to get them all to Turkey with us!

I can relate to your comment about knowing machinery. I can pretty much identify construction equipment i.e. backhoes, cherry pickers, and who knew there were names for firetrucks i.e. ladder trucks, tankers etc... :D
By the way, beautiful pictures of your family by the bay. Happy Mothers Day!
Love,
Linda
Those are the best little cars to have. The boys are 6 and still play with ours. Even though they're getting a little big to fit in it they still find some way to incorporate it into their play.
