Gracie's first day at FLCS

My niece grace became yet another Fort Lauderdale Christian School student this week. She started five day a week pre-school. Isn't this picture just the cutest? That little uniform is so cute. I totally stole this picture from her mother Gabbi's blog. How can you get mad at me for telling the world how cute your kid is? Of course, Grace would probably be fine starting kindergarten this year, but she's just a tad too young.

Hard to believe that there actually won't be an absence of a Kits. at FLCS since the Kits first inundated the place in the early 80's.

I'm tagging you, Wendi. I'm sorry this finds you having experienced a loss.

See my blog for your missions - should you choose to accept it.

What is the difference between kindegarten and five-day-a-week kindegarten?? Do some go seven days a week? Sounds like internship.

Hans,

I think she said 5 day a week preschool. They have Pre-K (pre-kindergarten) for ages 3 and another for ages 4. They're also known as Pre-K3 and Pre-K4. Pre-K's are usually 5 days a week, full time, just like regular Kindergarten, which makes is different from pre-school/daycare type places. Pre-K's main function is to get children ready for Kindergarten. Grace turns 5 on September 12th, however the cutoff to start Kindergarten this year is September 1st. Since she misses the cutoff by 11 days, she has to go to Pre-K4, which has 4 year olds.

Hope that explains things.
