Craziness

7:30am. Call from JB. Tornado spotted just north of Base. Instead of just warning me like he often does, he wants me to take this one seriously. They are evacuating the pediatric building which makes him nervous. Get the boys and get in the hall closet. I tell him Isaac is still asleep. Get him up anyway. So I do -- not at all thrilled about the prospect of waking my boy 1-2 hours before he would have probably woken up.

On my way to get both boys and Scrubby into the closet (it's a big closet, mind you), three separate things happened nearly at the same time. I kid you not.

1. Scrubs threw up in the middle of the living room.
2. Elijah crawled into the laundry room while I was cleaning up the throw-up and promptly put his body into Scrubs' water bowl.
3. When I picked Elijah up I discovered he had a very, very dirty diaper.

Oh, and did I mention that there had been a tornado spotted?

And did I mention that once that stress passed, I was unable to find, first my keys (located after a call and brainstorming session with JB) and then my cell phone (located after a call and brainstorming session with JB).

Whew.

Needless to say, it's been a crazy morning. I needed my phone and keys to head to a gal's house from MOPs. Last year I won a free print in a contest, and I am finally going to get it made. Better late than never. I'll show you all and brag on her when I am not so overwhelmed with the stressfulness of the day. Neither boy has been feeling like himself so it's been a bit of crabbiness around here.

P.S. If you think of it, could you say a prayer for my friend Brittney and her family. Her husband Clay is deploying today leaving her and their two little girls behind. Reading about him leaving is especially hard for me as I realize that John is just one year behind Clay. This means that one year from now, it is very possible, we may be facing the same fate. My fellow wifia members join me in this feeling. Brittney was a very special part of our lives during our first two years here as she really helped me while I had a newborn and was pregnant. I'm sure they could really use your prayers.

Sorry to hear about your crazy morning. Thank you though for the thoughts and prayers. It has been a very difficult day so far. Madison cried the entire 40 minute ride home from leaving Daddy at the airport. Jocelyn doesn't understand yet. We drove up to the house and she said Daddy beat us home, because she saw his car sitting there. I had to remind her that Daddy was on a plane and his car will be sitting there for the next 7 months. We can't thank everyone enough for your prayers right now. Of course Clay hasn't even been gone a day yet and everything seems to be falling apart. I have a UTI and I just had to call a plumber because the sink is backed up and flooding the dishwasher.
