Afternoon out

Kelsey attends mass each morning in Aspen, about 20 minutes from our condo. When she returned this morning, I put Isaac down for a nap, and then when he woke up, we headed to the little outdoor mall about ten minutes downhill from our condo. We had a wonderful break which included ice cream at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, a little playtime at a park, and careful observation of some very strange carnival type performers which I think I liked even less than Isaac.

The only problem with visiting the mall is that it is ten minutes downhill on the way there but ten minutes straight uphill on the way back. Even Rob, Dave, and JB are huffing when they reach our condo during conference breaks and that isn't with a stroller in tow. I do not think, in this altitude, that I could push that stroller up the hill by myself. It took both of us taking a block at a time to maneuver our way back to our condo successfully. I brought clothes to exercise while I was here. That ain't happening. Just walking up stairs is amazingly difficult at 7,945 elevation!

Anyways, here are a few snaps from our afternoon. We are headed out to a pizza party put on by the conference! So enjoying the cool mornings and evenings and comfortable afternoons. What a beautiful place to be (in the summer!)
