Adoption praises!

When will I learn to completely give things to the Lord?!

They received the birth certificate in North Carolina, and it will be going out in the mail tomorrow! I've given them the UPS number so it should be here by Friday. This means our dossier should be in Washington D.C. by Monday.

We also got word that we are going to be able to get some adoption reimbursements from the military and Mayo for the May-baby adoption. Another bit of good news. :)

The other good news is that there is no snow storm here (even though they are expecting one in Rochester.)

How much better can it get?

I have been debating writing to you and telling you that I read your blog from time to time because you have no idea who I am and at times, I feel like I am spying on others when I read their blogs. I started blogging in June 2007 and have been updating mine from time to time. I stumbled upon your blog when I just so happened upon a blog kept by Kristen (ie Brandon and Kristen) who was a school mate of mine from elementary school through high school (and Brandon is friends with my husband, too.) I found that I continued to visit your blog, even though I dont know you because of your captivating writing style and your honesty. For a time, I felt uncomfortable with the idea of reading about yours and JB's lives without you knowing, however, the idea of writing a note to say "hi" was even more mortifying. I suppose that I am ready to introduce myself, finally. In your blog, from time-to-time, you mention that you welcome outside visitors, making me more comfortable reading your blog. At any rate, just wanted to say, hi! You can always check out my blog too, nickandkenzie.blogspot.com. Outsiders are always welcome to mine as well. Oh, and ps, I posted the "comparing adoption to australia." To my knowledge, I have no fertility issues, but again, that is-to my knowledge. One never knows what they will share in common with others. I will find out in the future, when it is time to think about children. Oh yes, one more thing that I wanted to thank you for--I no longer ask couples when they are having children, you never know what reality they may be living, and you shed light on that. Thank you for your honesty and wonderful blogging.

Thanks for the intro Kenzie. You are definitely welcome on my blog -- even though we haven't met. Honestly, some of my greatest friends here (Funky Monkey and Plan B Tara) were people I met through the blog -- we've never met in person!!!

And thank you thank you for the Australia comment. I LOVE IT!! It has helped me SOOOOOOOO much!!!

Most welcome for the australia--I should tell you, I did not write it, it was an article that I ran across one day (I read quite a lot) and I had read your blog and figured that I would post it for you. I myself could never write with such elloquence, especially a topic I know little about. Again, so glad I introduced myself. There is a post on my blog that talks a little about who nick and I are (posted in march titled "about us") it is easier if you read that than me trying to tell you about me. Well, I guess I have taken a big leap into the unknown...so here's to blogging friendships. :) PS, I love your dog, I myself am a dog lover too!

great news, wendi! guess what? i passed my last set of boards...whoo hoo! a day for both of us to celebrate! :-)

the last couple of weeks, as i was anxiously awaiting results, i kept telling myself, "just turn this over to the Lord, rach. He will provide, He has a plan." easier said than done. i found myself saying it often b/c i just had a hard time NOT worrying still! someday, i will learn how to do it, i hope!

anyway...with your good news and mine too, not even the impending WINTER STORM WARNING can make me crabby! :-)
