It was SO disappointing to fight our way through terrible storms all day yesterday only to FINALLY make it to New Orleans and discover we couldn’t stay in the park John had booked due to flooding.
We got back on our vehicle a bit road-weary and just started driving. We knew we needed to head out of New Orleans. As Baton Rouge got closer and closer we decided to look for an RV park there and we found a lovely one!!!!
We are some fish sticks from Trader Joe’s and a bag of peas and collapsed into bed. Taking a gingerly moving morning before hitting the road for Galveston.
I’ve received amazing news: a friend I haven’t seen for seven years ... could it be?! I will be hugging her on Saturday.

Have fun in Galveston! I am in Houston, about an hour away and Galveston is so much fun!
