BOI gets a great gift

Because of Isaac, the organization John and I started at the end of 2010 to help fund adoptions for childless couples, got a really neat gift the other day. It was a $200 donation from a class of 10 students at a Christian school. Their teacher heard about the organization and suggested to the 5th and 6th graders in her class, that they all bring in spare change ... sending copies of our downloadable PDF with each of her students so their parents could know where the mney was going. They counted and rolled all the change and ended up with $100! Then her students suggested a bake sale. So they all brought in goodies and sold them to the other classrooms. That brought in another $90. In the end Because of Isaac received a check for $200 from 10 students. How awesome is that?

If you have a group of individuals you teach, work with, or know, please consider copying this idea. Just putting a jar with our PDF attached could make a huge difference in the life of one family and one child.

We are currently nearing $10,500. The $12,500 mark will put us at halfway to our goal of $25,000! Please keep spreading the word. Contact information@becauseofisaac.org for information on how you can make a difference.

My students will be so excited to read this; I think I'll put a link in our school newsletter as well!
