Adoption Awareness Month continues

Email from CRY OF THE ORPHAN:

Dear Friends,

As I'm sure you know, today there are more than 143 million orphans in the world. That's approximately one-half of the population of the U.S.! Most of these children live in poverty, are malnourished and experience daily rejection. But what they really need is someone who is willing to make a difference in their lives.

For this reason, we've joined hands and voices with more than 75 orphan care providers, church-based orphan ministries, adoption agencies and media advocates including FamilyLife™, Focus on the Family®, Shaohannah's Hope, and Crown Financial Ministries to "defend the cause of the...fatherless" (Psalm 82.3). But we can't do it alone.

No matter who you are, where you live, or what you do, you can make a difference. From praying for orphans to going on mission trips, from mentoring a child to adopting one (or more), there is a place for everyone because you are God's plan for the orphan.

To learn more, visit cryoftheorphan.org. This new site contains information on dozens of organizations that can help you respond to God's call to care for orphans. Also included on the site are upcoming broadcast schedules for campaign week November 12-16. Please join us in prayer as we boldly endeavor to answer God's call.
