Review: Love Everlasting (AND A GIVEAWAY!)

Okay folks! At long last, I get to share the Blog post I have been dying to write! I have made it no small secret that I am one of Julie Lessman's BIGGEST FANS.

It was actually my hubby who discovered her writing for me. I was getting ready to go on a girls' trip and wanted something good and uplifting to read. He did some research and found Julie. And the rest, as they say, is history. I have ready every single thing she has written without being able to put them down. I have done many Blog posts featuring give-aways of her books. Here are just a few of the reviews I have written on her writing:

I also, excitedly, had the opportunity to pre-read and edit Love Everlasting. I wrote about that on a post I entitled Beyond Giddy.

Here's what I LOVE about Julie. She is a sold-out Christian who writes Christian romance/fiction. And in addition to writing great stories that I just love, she is a fantastic person who really resonates with her fans. Don't be surprised if she leaves a comment on your comment on her page. She is reading them! She really wants to have a personal relationship with those people who are reading her book, and it is so fun to sort of "know" the author you are reading.

I absolutely LOVED Julie's historical fiction. They were (and still are!) my very favorite thing that she has written, and I am really hoping she does more of them in the future!

So let me break her historical fiction books down for you:

First she has her "Daughters of Boston" Series:
  • A Light in the Window (prequel)
  • A Passion Most Pure
  • A Passion Redeemed
  • A Passion Denied
Then there is the "Winds of Change" Series (which is a continuation of the "Boston" series):
  • A Hope Undaunted
  • A Heart Revealed
  • A Love Surrendered
And then "Heart of San Francisco":
  • Love at any Cost
  • Dare to Love Again
  • Surprised By Love
After this, Julie did a little turn and tried her hand at more contemporary romantic fiction. She pulled it off beautifully, and I found myself unable to put these books down either! These books included:
  • A Glimmer of Hope (prequel)*
  • Isle of Hope
  • Love Everlasting
It is Love Everlasting that I am writing about in this review which is available for preorder. This is the third book in her contemporary series, and you will, like me, not be able to put this one down either.

Honestly, I won't say much more. While some Bloggers like to give you a synopsis, I really don't like to do that. I never read the back covers of books. But if you want to read more details about the story you can do so at other Bloggers' reviews like this one by Diana Flowers.

So far it has gotten all 4 and 5 star reviews on Amazon. Check her out folks! Check out her new book! And fall in love as much as I have. I am so incredibly honored to be playing any small role in this writer's writing. I love what she does, love her message, and love to have the opportunity to edit for her.

*Glimmer of Hope is FREE on Kindle right now!

AND HERE IS THE BIG NEWS! LEAVE A COMMENT AND I WILL PICK A RANDOM WINNER. JULIE WILL PERSONALLY GIVE THE WINNER A COPY OF ISLE OF HOPE AND LOVE EVERLASTING!

Hey, JAN, thanks SO much for trying to buy A Passion Most Pure at your local Christian bookstore.

Not sure why they don't carry my books, but there are some Christian bookstores who think I'm too "edgy" for Christian romance. My tagline is Passion with a Purpose, which means my love scenes are more romantically passionate than a lot of books in the CBA, but never more than kissing and always within God's precepts. So this may be the reason. Revell is my publisher of nine of my books, including APMP, so I guarantee you I wouldn't have gotten published by a top CBA publisher if my books weren't okay, nor would APMP have won American Christian Fiction Writers 2009 Debut Book of the Year either and have 869 five-star reviews on Amazon. Also, my books are more passionate spiritually as well, than most romance in the CBA.

I sure hope you take advantage of the free download of A Glimmer of Hope OR read my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes from some of my books on my website under EXCERPTS tab to check out my style of writing. Link as follows:

JULIE’S EXCERPTS

Anyway, thank you again for your interest in my books and good luck in the contest!

Hugs,
Julie
