Review: Think, Act, Be Like Jesus

I had the opportunity to review the Think, Act, Be Like Jesus devotional. This book was written by Oak Hills Church pastor Randy Frazee, and it was a part of the church-wide, ground-breaking Believe campaign which encourages children to follow the footsteps of Jesus.

Written for children ages 6-10, the Think, Act, Be Like Jesus features 90 devotionals. Each of the devotions is separated into a major heading of THINK, ACT, or BE. Within those categories are subsections.

For example, within the ACT category are subcategories like Worship, Prayer, Bible Study, Single-Mindedness, or Giving my Resources

While this division and categories is often seen in adult books, I have never really seen it in kids' devotionals, and I really liked this. I was honestly planning on reviewing this book and giving it away either on my Blog or as a gift. However, after seeing the book in person, I decided to keep it for our own library. These divisions allow parents to search for something that might fit what is going on in their home that week and read a devotional accordingly.

My boys are 7 seven years old, and I think they would just be able to read and digest these devotions. I would probably put the age range for kids to read on their own to 7-12. However, parents could easily do these with children starting at about age 4.

Booklookbloggers.com provided me with a free copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.
