Happy anniversary Wifia!

Okay just for the record, and because there has been some debate, "Wifia" is pronounced ilke "Wife-ee-uh" (rhyming with Mafia). For some reason, people have thought it is "Wif-ee-uh" (like when you wiff when you are swinging a bat. Not correct. I think Joia named us at some point and it just stuck. Leave it to Joia. Actually, we owe the wifia to Joia. She was the one who suggested we set up weekly lunches to have support during residency. What a fantastic idea! I don't know where I would be without these gals.

According to Joia (who would know), yesterday was the 1 year anniversary of our first wifia lunch. Here are some photos from the afternoon.

Andrea, Tiffany, Me, and Joia. (Jodi was sick, Sarah came later, and Johanna wasn't able to be there.) Andrea, on the far left is due to have a baby in late November. Joia (far right) is due early January. We are all about 30 days behind each other.

Andrea with son Johnathon -- Me (Isaac was asleep) -- Joia with Keenan -- Tiffany with a bit of William's head

Joia made dessert. You can't imagine what is underneath this frosting but chocolate, Reese's, peanut butter, and oreos were part of it. Can it be bad with those ingredients and Joia as the chef?!

The three boys: Keenan, Johnathon, and William

Want a crazy flashback? I stole this photo from Joia's blog about one year ago! My goodness they grow up fast!

Johnathon, Keenan, and William

As I mentioned, Isaac slept until 9am, got up and ate, and then fell back asleep on the way to the wifia lunch at 11:30. The kid then slept, in his car seat until 3pm! This included sleeping at Andrea's house in the office while the kids played every musical instrument you could imagine and then continuing to sleep while we sat in the waiting room of the car dealership getting our oil changed. The kid doesn't need quiet to sleep!

Matt is the one that came up with Wifia. He was talking about the Aif Force wifia before we even moved here.

Hmm...Wah-fee-ah would rhyme with mafia, right? Oh, well. Um, I had something non-critical to say, but I can't remember it.

Oh, yeah. When I was pg my SIL was due 30 days before me, my friend Karen the same day, and another friend a week later. It was so much fun, and such a coincidence. Two of us even told the third friend about our pgs in a similar way that you told Joia. It's nuts, the similarities!

I'm having so much fun following your new journey. I remember the craziness, and it will just become a different kind of crazy 6 months from now, and then a different kind 6 months after that, and so on...
