AUSTRIA: Salzburg here we come!

Three babes sleeping in one room isn't easy ... check out these logistics.

This morning, Elijah got up at 5am ... again. Abigail was in a crib next to our bed. Isaac was in a bed across the room and Elijah in a bed/crib next to him. 5am Elijah went potty but went back to sleep just as Abigail woke up. (Turkey time is an hour later -- thus the exceptionally early start times.) JB fed Abigail and we gave her a quick bath in the sink. (That milk gets pretty stinky if left to fester in her neck folds.) Then our little gal went back down for a nap just as Elijah woke up for good. We brought him into our bed with some Diego videos on the portable DVD player and tried to keep him quiet so Isaac and Abigail could keep sleeping. Elijah, Abigail and I are just getting over a cold that Isaac is seeming to be starting on so he needed his rest. Isaac slept until 8am which was great.
We did breakfasts in shifts again. First mom and I ate. We came back and JB and Dad ate. Then they took the boys back for breakfast. After that, we all packed up and loaded up the car for the 90 minute drive to Salzburg, Austria.

What an amazingly beautiful drive. The Alps. Green pastures. Fall foliage. Cool temps. Glorious! Dad and Mom are in absolute heaven. We pulled into our B&B at about 1pm -- just in time for the boys to get down for some much needed naps. We then hit downtown Salzburg for a dinner a few hours later.

We are in a two room little apartment across the hall from Dad and Mom in a B&B on a family farm. In one room there is a double bed and a twin bed. I am going to sleep in the double bed with Elijah. Isaac will take the twin. JB will sleep in the other room with Abigail in a crib beside him.

We plan to lay low here for a few days -- maybe even take the Sound of Music tour? We'll see. For now, we are just enjoying great weather, beautiful landscape, and most importantly, well-needed time with Grampa and Grama K. The boys have taken to them as if it hasn't been a year since they have seen them. They are wresting and reading books and playing with their Grampa and Grama as if they see them every day. And Abigail is as sweet as ever as well. We are so blessed to have this opportunity to be with loved ones in such a beautiful part of the world.
