I am a "first born" who has always been in control (or at least needed to believe I was in control). It took me years to realize that the responsibility of being in control isn't always worth it! Sometimes, it is nice to "just be"...if someone who is competent is in control or when I just don't care any more! It was quite a load off of my shoulders, my heart, and my psyche when I realized I didn't need to control everything...ultimately, I want our faithful God to control it before I get my hands on it and then control my hands, my heart, my will! AMEN!

You need to always stand up for what you believe in and not waiver, because the times that you don't will stick with you forever. Don't underestimate how long the consequences of bad decisions can last and the confidence that comes with choosing the right thing.

Speaking without having all the facts. There are things I said that I can never take back.
Be careful about judging even if you have all the facts....I have enough of my own issues to deal with, without trying to fix those around me.

Watch what you say - you can never take things back after they leave your mouth.

Trust God rather than your own control.

It was very difficult to forgive until I realized and faced my own deep capacity for sin.
