Kapikaya Canyon

There are some beautiful places in Turkey. Unfortunately, Adana and most of its surrounding parts is not one of them. We have been to many places around Turkey that are simply breathtaking, but in order to see that beauty, we usually have to drive about an hour from Base.

Kapikaya Canyon is one of those places. It's right around an hour from Base and well worth the drive. It is simply magnificent and an absolutely breathtaking location. Our friend Jake organized a trip for some of us. JB had gone before with Jake and a few guys, but this was my first time. And what a great time it was.

We hiked about 30 minutes to an open area where we ate our lunch over two fires (since our group was so large.) Veronica, Shane, and Linda hung with us which made managing all the kiddos quite doable. Take a look at some of Veronica's beautiful pictures:

John was on call for the trip. Thankfully, he only had to deal with one emergency while we were there.

We never have any pictures of Veronica since she is always doing the taking. Thankfully, she always does at least one self-portrait to prove she actually was there.

Dr. Linda with our Abigail. Linda is a major baby lover!

A pic with 2 of the 3 specialist guys in my life.
