Our flying day yesterday could not have gone better. While the plane was one of those itty-bitty ones with one seat on one side and two on the other, the lady who had talked us into bumping the night before was working the desk on Sunday afternoon as well and managed to give us aisle seats right in front of each other. She was so thankful for us bumping the day before!
Having the aisle made it sooooo much better! Hallelujah for small miracles. In addition, both boys fell asleep on the flight. Isaac slept on JB's lap for nearly the entire flight. Elijah slept on me for half of the flight and then downed a bottle during the other half.
When we got home, Scrubs, thanks to Jodi, was waiting for us in his kennel. He was a wee bit excited to see us to say the least. Isaac was a wee bit excited to be home as well. He immediately dove into his toys. The look on his face was so cute. It was as if he was saying, "Oh here they are! All my wonderful toys! I have missed you all so much." We couldn't even get him to stop playing to eat until JB returned from the store with a melon -- Isaac's favorite.
The bad news was that our luggage did not make it to our new airport. They promised to deliver it when it arrived. Around 11pm they called. They would be delivering the bags at 3am!! All right. No problem. Leave them in the carport. We're on Base. It's safe. No can do. Because this was a company out of Pensacola, they did not have Base access like the local airport had. We'd have to meet them at the gate. Poor JB pulled the short straw (since he's a guy) and received a call at 3:30am to meet them at the gate with our bags. Yuck!
I have an appointment this morning so Jodi is actually due to arrive in the next hour to watch all my boys for me. Have I mentioned recently how much I love Jodi? I LOVE YOU JODI!
