Home sweet (cold) home

We have returned to the Polar North.

Actually, our flight got in around 2:30 yesterday. We were on a tiny plane from Ohio and were informed that we would need to exit outside and walk into that airport. We were then told to be careful. There had been a recent snow and a recent ice and the walkway was very slick.

That was the first and only sign we needed. We were home. It was cold. There was snow all over the place. Ebby, who picked us up from the airport, called it a "dusting" but in my opinion, the fact that the roads were quite slick indicated much more. Later that evening we went out to get some Indian as our refrigerator and cupboards were bare. It was "feels like" 10 degrees.

Okay, so you get the point. We returned home to cold.

We also returned home very tired. After dinner JB asked me if it was bad to go to bed before 8:00. I said I didn't think so. We were both asleep before 7:30 and then got up at 6:30 this morning for me to go to work. Told you we were tired.

It's always difficult when you don't give yourself a day to recover before you jump back into the swing of things. JB has a week off which is good because he is still pretty under the weather, and he really wants to start getting things in motion with our condo. He went and did some grocery shopping while I was at Mayo this morning and now we are taking a lunch break together before I dive into two weeks of emails from RLS. This evening we hope to have dinner with the Rays and their eldest daughter English who has returned home on leave from the Air Force. She leaves tomorrow morning to go back so today is our only day to catch up with her.

We are currently living out of our suitcases, however, the good thing is, most of the clothes we brought to Florida aren't the clothes we need now anyways. The clothes we need now are a bit warmer.

I hope, now that I am at home, to be a little more diligent in my blogging. And I hope to provide more pictures of the wedding as they become available. Stay tuned.

We came home today to warmth, but a missing suitcase and a major water leak! No water in the house for showers - yuck. Can't wait to see the water bill!

We were in CO for Christmas and it was qutie snowy there, too.

Good to see you.
