While I not sure I’ll ever give myself completely over to the “dark side” of birding, I do really appreciate the fun and the hunt and the education and the beauty of the activity.
For example, we are in Oklahoma right now. See that blue above? It’s the only place that the Harris’s Sparrow would be hanging out right now. We, most likely, would never see them where we live in TN.
And the gang got to see one this morning at the campground. They also saw a Cackling Goose which I got in video!
