Tarzan!!

Folks, I must SCREAMmmmmmm it from the mountain tops.
If you are local, you
MUST MUST MUST MUST MUST MUST
go see this play!
Seriously.
Go.
Now.
DO NOT MISS SUCH OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES
in such a small town.

We went last night with Grampa and Grama and Grama's sister Betsy and our friend Anni and JB and me all the kids. We had the BEST time. It was worth every single dollar for the ticket price. Not only that, we got to see some very good friends totally knock our socks off. Each of my kids was ENTHRALLED. Abigail is going back today to see it again. Sidge looked over at me and said: "This was amazing." I cried after the show with joy at how well it was done.

Our friend Sara Claiborne (mother of twins!) played an ape. And Abigail's gymnastics teacher, Hanna (also a fellow former member of our homeschool group) was an AMAZING leopard.
After the show, we got a picture with Abigail and her teacher, Hanna. Hanna has been a real role model for Abigail. Abigail was so infatuated with her role in this play because Hanna didn't have to speak, but she was able to use her gymnastics abilities to perform this amazing role. Simply awesome!
Our friend, Carter, prepared for a year to play the role of Tarzan. He was absolutely awesome. The kids were so impressed with him. Hannah, however, was too shy to take a picture with him. But as she walked away after this picture she said, "I have never seen Carter's belly button before." Sidge rolled his eyes and said, "I'm surprised she didn't say 'nipples'. She is always talking about 'nipples.'" True story folks.
This is a picture of Carter's REAL LIFE mom, Christa, playing his ON STAGE mom in the play. Oh wow. She did so good. It was so awesome!!
Carter with his mom and another ape after the show. Christa's other son, who is away in the military, flew home the night before this performance to surprise them and watch the show.
I don't know this guy personally, but apparently, he's a Heritage Home School graduate. He played Turk, and folks, I think he stole the show. he was simply marvelous. Awesome. Fantastic!!!!!!
Our friends Ky-le and Elizabeth (both homeschoolers and also in ballet) were a part of the gorilla family. They said it was so fun to be able to act totally stupid and scratch anytime they want -- unlike in ballet.
You had to be in at least third grade to try-out. Our friend Allie was one of the flowers. She did soooo good!
P.S. I didn't get any pictures of Elizabeth Sparks -- our friend who choreographed the show. She played a "creature" and Abigail was also fascinated with her. Abigail loved the show sooooo much that she is going back today with her cousins to watch.
