What a sweet book! Seriously folks, if you are a dog lover or just a lover of good children's books, this is one you want to put into your library.
Based on the story of Dion Leonard meeting a little dog during his seven day race across the Chinese desert and the the journey that kept them together, Gobi: A Little Dog with a Big Heart may be one of my favorite children's books of 2017.
The illustrations (by Lisa Manuzak) are of equally delightful quality. This book is hardcover with a dust jacket, and will be staying in our home library for a long time to come.
