We Bought a Farm: Scrubby drained again

Yesterday we had Scrubs drained for the third time. He is still nearly completely himself, but once he is drained, he is nearly skin and bones as whatever cancer is eating him up, is truly eating him up. Seeing him like that is really hard, but we just don't feel peace letting him go until he shows any indication that he isn't loving life. His vet agreed and said that as soon as he makes a slight turn downward, she would say it is time and let him go out without declining much at all. We agree. That being said, we will wait out the next three weeks and see where we are at that point. For now, we are just loving all these extra days with our pup and trying not think about having to say good bye. I know it will hit me again but for now, I think I am in a bit of denial as to how sick he is. Love this boy.

Thinking of you all. Lost my Dal 8 years ago . It is so hard. You have given him a great life and well continue to do so until it is time. I wish our dogs lived longer. It is so hard to let go
