Did I miss the memo?!
I see the Facebook posts featuring children at their "month celebrations." They all have these stickers on their chest. What are they? When did they become possible? Do I have to use them? Have I been living under a rock (or in another country) or something? I just feel very behind ... about to have our little girl and I don't have any stickers. Do I have to get them?

LOL! Oh Wendi... I saw them when Troy already had like 3 months and felt horrible that my baby wasn't part of the 'fad', and we had already missed the window. Turns out there were many 'fads' we missed, and some we tried to keep up with, and failed horribly. (Like the inflatable tub, and the 'pool seat with a canopy' , which Yamil and I spent 3 days trying to inflate/assemble last week, and just gave up). I think these are super cute, and if you want them, I'm sure you could find all sorts of pretty kinds here! :) Can't wait to meet the little lady!!
Much love,
-P
haha! Yep, they are new (just like so many other things) since our last babies were born, Wen. I got them (tie ones) for Logan for just a few bucks after he was born so I had them when he turned 1 month. I just like them b/c it helps me keep his age in order when I look at pics...easier to tell what month he was since I'm getting too old to remember by looking w/o a number on his chest :) You can also make/print your own, but more trouble that it was worth for me! But don't even try to keep up with the fads...way too many new crazy ideas on pinterest, etsy, etc...
Yes super cute. Came after I had my kids. I love ordering them off Etsy for the new mom I don't know what they need because its their third kid. It's fun! :)
It's just something fun. I think of them like another version of the K - 12 picture frames. Fun, just never got around to purchasing seven of them because I was too busy having fun with Nd tending to our children. Never feel like you have to do something just because everyone else is.
We do block pictures - you know the ones with the age on a block - and have since Logan was 1. I cherish them but if I'm honest, we just took his 6 year-old one and he's going to be 7 next month.
I did it with both of my kids and am SO glad that I took the time. I actually used onsies with the month screen printed on them. They were a baby shower gift from a friend.
You can buy either. I'm happy looking back that I made myself do it. Some months I didn't take many pictures other than the monthly ones, so it made me document the first year.
I blogged about it here:
