I have found yet another good toddler activity.
Magnets.
I don't like them all over my fridge. But I had a a bunch. And then, for Christmas, my Mother-in-law and Uncle Grant & Aunt Elizabeth, sent a ton of magnets. We covered our fridge in them.
One day I just sat in front of the refrigerator and started asking them to bring me, "A cow. A giraffe. Mickey Mouse. A basketball."
They love it. They aren't really old enough to feel competition yet. If one finds it first, they quickly accept it and wait to find another one. We also have letters and numbers in the mix. But both boys have been a bit slower in learning their letters and numbers. They aren't really into them that much. So we practice. But they usually bring me the wrong one on those. John's mother made colored magnets as well. Isaac can do those great. Elijah is usually about 50/50 in getting it right or bringing me the wrong color.
Either way, it's a fun activity, and I had to add it to my collection of "Toddler Activities." To read past ideas, click here. And please continue to add your own idea to the comments of any of these past posts. I plan to combine these into one blog at some point in the future.
