Last night we caught the 6pm showing of the movie Cars. This was our first movie theater experience on our new Base. It was also the very first time we have ever taken either of the boys to the movie theater. JB happened to see the marquee on the way home from work and thought it would be a fun evening activity.
And it sure was! The boys loved the experience. They sat in their (provided) booster seats for the first half of the movie. Isaac didn't care for the free popcorn, but Elijah thought it was fantastic and munched on it most of the evening. Since Daddy likes popcorn and Mommy isn't a big fan, it was a good match.
Halfway through Isaac wanted to sit with Mommy, Elijah with Daddy, and then we spent the second half of the movie changing parents about every fifteen minutes or so. Isaac would determine that he "needs Mommy" or "want to hold Daddy" and then he would go to the other parent. Elijah would quickly oblige by switching spots.
The theater is fairly small but quite adequate. They show new movies, second-run movies, and even old favorites like Cars. We had a great time.
