Isaac & Bri's birthday party

Okay. Whew. This is a ton of pictures. Thank you to Joan for taking them but deciding which ones to post was painful. Enjoy!

JB with our friends Zachariah and his wife Robyn. Zachariah is a first year resident. I wish I would have met Robyn sooner during my time here. What a dear sister in the Lord she is.

Brittny (who lives across the street from me) with friend Andrea and her little gal Chloe who all of a sudden has tons of hair!

Elijah will often find a random place to sit down and just plop himself there. He he is in a patch of ivy and grass that he found himself and decided to sit in for quite some time. He also wanted to eat some of it.

Elijah found Zachariah's hat and walked off with it. When we retrieved it, it definitely had some grubby remnants of Elijah remaining.

E. in the hat.

Opening presents. Present opening with Isaac was done in typical Isaac fashion -- very calm and deliberate. He would actually take time to inspect each card and said, "Open 'dis Mommy" many times when he saw what he got.

Bri helped us open for awhile as well.

Bri and I sharing a laugh when we both bent down to pick something up and clobbered our heads together.

Isaac inspecting one of his presents.

Isaac enjoying some cake.

Elijah enjoyed his big brother's birthday cake immensely as well.

Sorry. Had to include two. Couldn't decide between these two photos. What a crazy kid.

Thank you to EVERYONE who participated in the card "package" for Bri. I had asked friends and family of Bri to send her a card and thank her for giving Isaac life on this opportunity to celebrate his 2nd and her 20th birthday together. Nearly fifty cards arrived! (And I have a feeling there may be more in the mailbox tomorrow too.) Thank you everyone for wishing Bri a happy birthday in this wonderful way.

JB with Brittny and Kacey (a fellow resident). Kacey will be moving to Tampa in July where her husband awaits!

Joia with my friend Kara. Kara is a second year wife. She's another gal I wish I didn't have to leave behind. She's also a fabulous photographer! We have family pictures scheduled with her next weekend. AND she took the pictures of all of us on the beach with Isaac right before Elijah was born.

An amazing photo opportunity. Both boys and Bri (sorta) looking at the camera.

Joni does most of the picture taking so I snagged this rare opportunity to include her in a picture.

Della on the swings.

Apparently Dum-Dums have some strange flavors. Isaac tasted this one and then said, "'Nother one Mommy." Apparently this flavor was not so good. Bri tried it and compared it to some sort of bubble gum toothpaste.

This lollipop was much better (and Elijah's has created a cool shadow at the same time.)

This is what Elijah does when he no longer wants to walk. He squats and squawks and waits for someone to rescue him.

Bri and Isaac. Love these two.

One of my favorite people in the whole wide world.

Isaac actually calls Capri-Suns by name. He loves them!

Brittny with her little gal Sophie. Love these gals.

Bri and Robyn.

Zachariah with their son John Benjamin (JB) -- another baby who was well worth the longer-than-expected wait time.

Chalk coloring. Isaac liked to color with chalk. Elijah liked to eat the chalk.

JB decorated the pavilion with a cool Curious George drawing.

Both of these people are here because of the miracle of adoption. Bri was adopted. And then Isaac. How awesome.

Isaac inspecting Daddy's drawing.

Our cupcakes! Kristi, aren't you proud?!

Bri and boyz

Party decorations -- bags of animal crackers and bananas for our "Curious George" party!

Close-up!

The bananas were quite popular.

Sharing with Beeee!

The party looked wonderful and we are so happy events like this take place and allow people to enjoy the good things of God.
