Visiting the Chicago Fam

Hi all! Just posting quickly this afternoon from Jason & Kathleen's computer. We got in last night about 7:30. I have realized that my dear husband only gets in a bad mood regarding one thing in life and that is traffic. As soon as we get two hours from the city, he changes his mind about our decision to come. The traffic in the Chicago area is just ATROCIOUS and it doesn't seem to matter what time we hit it. One guy literally laid on the horn behind a guy for ten minutes straight. When he finally got past he finished that off with a delightful gesture. Fort Lauderdale, Chicago ... needless to say we know where we don't want to live.

But we got in last night around 7:30, hung out with Kathleen and Cullen and then Jason got home from his baseball game and we had a fantastic dinner (courtesy of Kathleen -- stuffed peppers and rolls). Jason and JB closed off the night with a trip to Culver's. I love being on the road -- an excuse to pig out.

We had breakfast this morning with Grama Huisman at Kathleen's and are now on our way to Josh and Sarah's to spend the day (and watch the Final Four this evening.) Can't wait to meet Jordan.

If I get to a computer again, I will update you more on our trip. It's always so wonderful to visit my Chicago fam.
