This is the life we've chosen. It's a good life. It's a dirty life. It's freezing cold. There are animals everywhere. We will have to skip church tomorrow because the temperature is dropping into the teens and it is too cold to have the puppies outside (and we don't have any way to properly monitor them inside.)
