Today we are processing a gazillion chickens.
Okay not a gazillion. A few less than that.
We spent all day Sunday preparing for today ... PROCESSING DAY!
It is so rewarding to see all this meat come to be. Also hard to process animals. Also exhausting to be on your feet for two straight days. Also dirty.
Need I go on?
We have decided to do only one batch of chickens this year. In the past we have done two. We are just realizing we can't do so much and are cutting back. So we won't have as many to sell. But it is still so rewarding to put all of the chicken your family will eat in a year into your freezers.
Okay. First bird down. Only about 180 to go.
