Packing Day(s) In Pictures

I found this sign on the wall more appropriate than normal with the boxes below it. So true.

When the house is empty of toys, we must make our own fun -- even if it is at other's expense.

Bonnie (Shane and Linda's dog) and Scrubs spent Monday and Tuesday being shuffled from our yard to our empty neighbor's yard. (One of the movers was deathly afraid of dogs, even very little ones his friends joked, so the dogs had to be kept away from him.) They barked and played and didn't rest at all! So on Wednesday, when Shane and Linda came back, I asked Shane if Scrubs could hang out at his house. As I thought would be the case, the two dogs slept nearly the whole day, worn out from all the activity of the previous two days.

Here we are getting accustomed to the new "stick furniture" that the Base loans you. This is JB playing some sort of M&M game with the boy. You do what it takes!

The movers loading up some of the 9 crates we used. We came with 8 crates. So not too much accumulation despite an extra child!

Abigail absolutely insisted on climbing under the furniture over and over and over and over again. We've had to block her as, while she is good at getting up, her getting down results in tears nearly every time!

I can't imagine living without all your normal stuff for over a month!! Crazy! And I would be so worried that all my stuff ended up at the right place!
Thinking of you and praying for an easy transition.

Cheryl, It's quite interesting. In our case, we are going to mail ourselves a bit of stuff but any major things are gone. We have no TV. No Microwave. It's weird. Sometimes you get things loaned to you. Sometimes you don't. People buy stuff from the thrift store and then re donate it a lot.
