Isaac decided that the big bunny and duck needed to be shared with Scrubs this morning. During Scrubs' post-breakfast nap, Isaac brought him these two guys to lay with. Scrubs was at first confused but then excited to get "permission" to rest his head on something so nice and fluffy.
In other news, we just came back from the clinic with Isaac. It appears that he is not allergic to strawberries as we originally thought. The allergy is eggs. Right now it seems that is only "straight" eggs -- that he does fine with things that have eggs in them, but we aren't sure. I made him scrambled eggs this morning and his face became so swollen he only had two slits for his eyes. I called JB, and we brought him up to see Dr. G. One serving of Benadryl (and now down for a nap) and he seems to be doing considerably better.

Oh goodness, was this the first time he had scrambled eggs?
We would be in trouble here if that happened, Izzy has a scrambled egg each morning. It is the one food item that she loves and you can tell by the yummm, ummmm, sounds that she makes as she eats it.
so glad to hear that he is doing better after the Benadryl.
Bri was allergic to weird things as a child, made me always keep a chart of what she ate to break it down. Hives and swelling were just part of our lives for the first 12 years. Drove me a bit crazy.
Glad you were able to figure it out so quickly.
Terri, this was his second exposure to eggs. But the first time it was coupled with strawberries and we thought the allergic reaction was due to the strawberries. Guess we were wrong.
Great that you found out which one it was.
Hope he's feeling better tonight.
Wow, scary! Hannah had a similiar reaction to eggs when she was just over one. Second time she had scrambled eggs she broke out in hives. I haven't tried them again since, but she also has no trouble with things that have eggs in them. Glad you got it figured out and Isaac is doing better.
