Via JB: My son found a Ruby-Throated Hummingbird stuck in the front of my truck today.
I think my wife must have hit the poor guy about an hour earlier, and he got wedged between the bumper and the license plate.
He was too weak to fly, so we brought him in and fed him some hummingbird nectar. At first he wouldn’t eat, but after a few minutes, his tongue started lapping up the nectar.
We left him to rest and feed for the next few hours, and when we checked on him again, he seemed to be doing much better.
We took him outside, and he took off like a shot!
Little sucker left without even saying thank you!
