One of the first things that drew me to the book The Legend of St. Nicholas, was the illustrator. My children absolutely love the children's Marley and Me books -- and this Christian Christmas story is from illustrator Richard Cowdrey -- the Marley and Me's illustrator.
Written by Dandi Daley Mackall, this beautifully written and illustrated story details a night of Christmas shopping by one little boy named Nicholas who learns the story of a Nicholas from long ago who spent his life secretly helping the poor all over the world.
This book would make a wonderful Christmas gift for any 3-8 year old child in your life. A great story to help illustrate what it means to be a giver and think of others before yourself -- written from a Christian perspective with faith vividly intertwined.
Booksneeze gave me a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
