I'm at the hospital ... yet again.
Big sigh.
Contractions.
I woke up this morning just not feeling great but couldn't pin-point what it was throughout the day. It was after I took a nap and woke up that I became pretty sure this "pressure" I kept telling JB about was actually contractions. Saw my NP, and we decided I should head to Achibadem (the hospital in Adana I had the appendicitis at.)
That was four hours ago. The good news is, our little girl looks great. She is moving like crazy. I am indeed having fairly consistent (but not incredibly intense) contractions. My cervix looks long. I am not dilated. I do have some elevated blood levels indicating that there is perhaps an infection at work within me that may have spurred these contractions on. Either way, they gave me medications to stop the contractions. They are improving things, but the contractions have not completely stopped. They also gave me steroids in case the baby arrived early.
All appears good. I will probably be here until at least mid-day tomorrow. Our little girl is weighing in at 3.5 pounds. There is a NICU doctor on-call who is aware of my contractions. Thirty weeks is not ideal but usually sees good results. We, of course, aren't thinking that that is going to happen. It appears she has no plans to make an appearance anytime soon.
Will keep everyone updated. For now, please just pray that Abigail Grace stays put and continues growing and being healthy. (And yes -- I just announced the name!)

Praying for you and Abigail Grace! Love, love, love the name. So sweet!!!
I'm praying!!! Love the name. Abigail you stay put and listen to your Momma!
BTW, I had that happen at 29 weeks. Once they found the infection (a UTI) and the meeds in me, it made the contractions leave. Even though I was on weekly DR visits at that point (since I was having multiples) and two days earlier was tested for a UTI, it came on the fast and that painful!
So glad you made it to the DR and hospital where they can keep an eye on you :)
So thankful little Abigail has stayed put so far! Praying for you all!

I love that name.
Excited to "meet" Abigail Grace, but want her to stay tucked away safely for another 10 weeks or close to! I started regular contractions with our princess at 25 weeks and with meds she hung out snug in the womb until 39! Our little man decided to start stirring up contractions at only 19 weeks and he still managed to make it to 36. Praying God's peace for you and His best plan for Abigail to come in His perfect timing.
