Back to Tennessee

We are preparing to head back to Tennessee tomorrow (Thursday) morning.

This vacation was a complete and utter Godsend. Normally we only get to spend 4-5 days on Lake Seymour, but this year, the pandemic actually gave us more time. Because other things on our calendar had been cancelled, John was able to take more time away from work.

Ten days gave us the perfect amount of time to rest and recover from a very challenging time in our lives.

We spent the days playing games, coloring, reading, doing puzzles, swimming, kayaking, eating Maple Creamies, birding, hiking, eating, napping, sleeping in, listening to hunting stories, playing ping-pong, and anything else relaxing you can think of. Abigail also kept on her ballet via virtual lessons while we were gone.

THANK YOU to those of you who helped pray that our family would get this time. We had an amazing time together as a family and with our third set of grandparents.

Tomorrow we make the 17-hour drive back to the farm and prepare to return to medicine, farming, and the start of another school year.

Time to go!
