Math Mini-Courses {A+ Interactive Math Review}

Each of the Math Mini-Courses from A+ Interactive Math is priced individually from $9.99-$19.99 which is a very affordable price for what you are receiving. Most students complete a course in approximately 2-3 months, but you retain access to the program for one year.

Isaac who is 7 and in the first grade worked through the: "Place Value and Number Combinations" lessons. Sidge who is 7 and also in the first grade worked through the "Early Elementary Subtraction" lesson. Each boy spent approximately 3 days a week using the program.

Each lesson includes instruction and questions with follow-up to missed questions ... which I think is great! There are also additional sections which include feedback for me (the teacher), online worksheets you can print off, and more!

I want to make sure to point out that this program delivers what it promises. You get intense review on the subject that your child needs help with. The content is spot on. I have absolutely zero complaints about what my boys were being taught and learning. If you have spots that need to be filled in your teaching, THIS is the way to do it!!

I really liked that each lesson was animated and broken down so well step by step. There is immediate feedback and the teaching is done for the student. There is a real teacher's voice. They are being taught everything directly by the teacher and the content is very good and very accurate.

My only complaint about this program was that it was not as user-friendly as I generally like in an online program. My boys had a difficult time doing the program by themselves. There were many times that they had to ask me to how to get to the next screen or how to correctly submit their answer. They couldn't jump on and go to the next lesson. It didn't remember where they were and sometimes I couldn't remember either. In addition there were times when they took a quiz and the button that they should use to submit the answer was not intuitive. However, that being said, once we figured our way around a little speed bump, we were able to remember and not do it that way in the future.

And the content, as I said, was spot-on. It definitely did fill in math gaps!

I do think that this program would work for some people. In fact, if you click on the Schoolhouse Review Crew link below, you can read reviews by many other people who were not phased by these small things.
