JB posted these three pictures and descriptions on his Facebook page. I am sharing them with my Blog using his words (not mine!)
You can just barely see the double rainbow! I love how it appears the rainbow is shooting out of a burned patch on our degraded pasture. This patch is already sprouting with healthy regrowth. Very appropriate!
Six-Spotted Green Tiger Bettle (Cicindela sexguttata)... they are just beautiful!
JB went on a hike with Abigail. Here is a photo collage of our adventure... clockwise from top...
1) Eastern Box Turtle (Terrapene carolina carolina)
2) Giant Puffball (Calvatia gigantea)
3) Currently unidentified Bolete mushroom (probably bicolor Bolete)
4) Meadow Violet (Viola sororia)
5) Crown-Tipped Coral Mushroom (Artomyces pyxidatus or Clavicorona pyxidata)
6) Unripe Mayapple, also known as Wild American Mandrake (Podophyllum peltatum)
