Grampa and one of his three grandsons.
I wasn't here for this picture (taken overlooking Praia) but I imagine bribery MUST have been involved to get both boys looking at the camera.
When Mom said she didn't want to be in this picture, Dad decided to pretend she was. This picture makes me laugh so hard!
While roasting marshmallows before bed, Sidge missed his mouth and hit himself in the forehead with his marshmallow. So, Grampa is cleaning him off.
There was lots of brew brewing going on while Grampa was here!
And Grama came up with all kinds of fun projects like making cookies, and ice cream cake, and cannon balls for their ship.
Their departure day was their least favorite of the entire trip I am sure. We arrived at the airport for their 3pm flight to discover that their flight had been delayed by five hours. So back home we went. They returned for their new 8pm flight, and I hear they sat on the tarmac for a long time before finally getting into Boston around midnight. Yuck!
But no yuckiness about having them here for three weeks. We loved having them here! Such an amazing blessing to have extra hands and extra hearts to love my kiddos!
