Bloggy Stuff

I had two different people suggest Hotspot Shield to me as a way around the fact that the country I live in has banned my blog. So I decided to give it a try. Early this morning blogger was working again. The big red warning message is back today. But using this Hotspot Shield, I am currently able to access my blog. We will see how long this lasts. But for now, all is sort of well.

I have heard a lot of different things including the fact that the people who run the Base Internet will eventually override this decision and give us back our blogs. We will see. I know many people suggested I switch blog accounts, but I just can't do that. I feel like my past is in this blog. I look up so many things. I scan it for dates and reminders of things that have happened. Having it in two places would really torture the organized side of me.

As I get ready for bed, a few closing notes:
  • While reading our devotional with the boys last night before bed, there was a question for them. The answer was the Holy Spirit. The question was, "Who helps you in your time of greatest need?" Isaac's answer, however, was a bit off-track. "Hatice!" he said (our housekeeper. I really couldn't argue with him on this one.
  • Please click on the Baby #3 update on the top of this page for some updated information our our third little one.
  • We are nearing $10,000 and 250 Facebook friends for Because of Isaac. If you have been considering giving a gift, would you consider it this month? We would love to hit $10,000 by the end of this month.

Wendi,
I can't comment on the baby posts but I wanted to tell you how amazing the videos are. I have never seen anything like that and was completely blown away. What an amazing creator God is.

God Bless xoxo

I'm so glad you have at least a temporary avenue for continuing your blog. Praying for your success to continue.

Also, is the devotional you mentioned doing with the boys a family-oriented or kid-oriented one? I'm looking for something to guide my spiritual talks with my kids in addition to the Bible and can use any inspiration you can offer! Thanks!

Hey Wendi!
There's a case going as of last week in the ECHR (European Court of Human Rights) specifically about the blocking of blogger in the past month for Turkish residents. (It started when people lost readers due to their first block) It's just in the beggining stages, and it might take some time to solve, (as all these intl. cases do), but be sure that their ruling will most likely be against the ban, and the Turkish govt. is bound by the ECHR rulings, so hopefully this will only be temporary. I'll keep you posted..
Much Love,
-Patty

Glad to hear your site is back online. This is a terribly boring artilce http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/n.php?n=court-decision-to-ban-blogger-cancelled-by-prosecutors-office-following-new-evidence-2011-03-16 that more or less says the ban is lifted for now. Hopefully none of us will have to use hotspot shield again :).
