Meeting the docs

Here are a few pictures that Jayne took when we were up at the residency room on Monday. Today we had to go up to get the circumcision done. JB was there for the procedure, but I kept myself busy doing other things. It wasn't much fun, but it's done, and I don't want to talk about it anymore. Dr. G. is wonderful with kids and took good care of Isaac. Enjoy some pics!

Ya'll look so great together! Get ready for the comments like, "You don't look like you just had a baby," and hopefully not, "You look great for just having a baby," or "You hardly look like you just had a baby."

Once a lady just said to me, "How old is he? You look great!" and I just said "Thank you!" It's nice to get a compliment every once in awhile. lol

Rachel, that is actually what we call him after JB swaddles him. Our little burrito.

And Amy the comments are flying. I don't feel the need to inform people I'll never see again that he's adopted unless they direclty ask. One lady at a rest stop said, "Miracles of modern medicine!" and kept walking. :)

Wendi, that's about how I handled our son's circ. I think I cried more than he did, and I didn't want to talk about it. ;) Glad it's over!!!

Is it me or you and John just glowing??!! :) I love it! To know that God had this planned for your family all along and to see it all come to creation...so awesome! And bravo to Isaac for being such a big boy during his circ. I've seen a few of those procedures in my nursing days and they are no walk in the park. Hats off to you and JB too for being brave parents. And can I just say that whoever swaddles that boy of yours should be working in the NICU. We always were in need of good baby wrappers there and Isaac definitely looks as snug as a bug in a rug every time I see a pic of him. What a little doll baby. And ditto on him being completely adorable....and "wow" on him being over a week old already...how time flies! Enjoy that sweet boy....
Love ya, Kel :)

*cringing over the circ* I remember poor Jon well after his. Thank goodness just a week later, I couldn't even tell.

But I agree with the others...you look fabulous! :-D
