We Bought a Farm: Pesto!


Today was one of our favorite days of the year! It was MAKING PESTO day. 

Okay, so truthfully, it isn't the making that is so fun but the eating. We make basil pesto pizzas, and just LOVE them!!! I mean, pesto on anything is yummy I would think. 

It was actually June 18, 2019 that we last did this on the farm.

Homemade pesto is the best!!

Walnuts are cheaper than pine nuts and make a really nice pesto, also.

Wendi do you guys can and process any pesto? Or just freeze it? Also I read in your recipe link that if freezing to omit the cheese until ready to eat it. Do you guys do this? Have a bumper crop this year and I’m trying to put up as much pesto as I can.
