Why oh why . . .
. . . does a dog move from his sprawled out spot on the cool tile after a long game of Frisbee in the yard, to the living room carpet before he vomits? Seriously?! This makes no sense. He stands up, wanders into the living room, and then throws up? What does he care what surface he throws up on? Why not tile? Why NOT tile?! (P.S. it was a lot of throw up too!)

Oh no! That does not sound like a fun mess to clean up.
Tyson and Scrubs must have a bet or something....I can totally feel your pain!
Hey, side question: When you take scrubs running, do you use a harness or just his collar? I'm asking because it was actually something we discovered about Tyson's own vomiting issue.
This was just Frisbee, not a run. But when we do, we use a pinch collar now. We used to use a gentle leader. One of those two.
My greatest nightmare - dog fluids. I can change any baby's diaper, but when it comes to dog poop and dog throwup, I completely gag. You are a brave soul!
We've never used a pinch collar so I don't know how those work. This might not apply to Scrubs, but what we learned for Tyson was that he was throwing up because his neck was being choked whenever he would go for a walk. He didn't necessarily throw up right after, it could be anytime during the day or night. Seemed like ALL THE TIME!!! When we first got him, we had a harness that we used. Then I quit using it just because it was an extra step to get out the door. Well, then came about 9 months of VERY frequent vomiting. We tried diet and took him to the vet. Nothing. One week we stayed at some friends house who have a fenced in yard. That entire week I didn't take him for a walk because him and the other dog just played in the yard and got all their energy out. And, there was no throwing up that week. None whatsoever. As soon as we got home and resumed normal walks, back to the throw up. Then it dawned on us that it was the walks that were getting him and then Vic remembered that we had used the harness at first with no throw up. Once we went back to the harness, we have had VERY little instances of throw up. That has been about 6 months now. So, just wanted to share our experience. May not apply to Scrubs, but I thought I would throw it out there. If it doesn't, just chalk this one up to more advice to scrap! =)
Hilarious - feel your angst (2dogs)and "wwwhhhhyyyy????" Guess it's like grass. At least there's no chance of him being "skunked"
I've often wondered that as well... every pet I have ever owned (like 6 cats and 4 dogs) have always seeked out carpet to throw up on. If you try to move them to tile, they look at you like "What the heck are you doing? I'm busy here!" and immediately inch back to the carpet. And if you try to slide something under them, they try to avoid that as well.
So frustrating. And disgusting.
Joy, this doesn't apply to Scrubs but I am sure it applies to someone out there! All advice is helpful!
