Happy Birthday Isaac & Bri

ELEVEN years ago, a teenager had a baby boy. She had that baby on May the 7th -- it was her 18th birthday and the day that our childlessness would come to an end. The week before Mother's Day and a month before we celebrated our tenth anniversary, Isaac John Kitsteiner was born.

He will always share a birthday with the woman who chose to give him life. She made an incredibly difficult decision. She gave up her entire senior year of high school to give our little boy the potential to have his own senior year someday. He would not exist without her incredibly selfless decision. Talk about a miracle!

Today he is ELEVEN! He loves rollercoasters and piano and Hotwheels cars and Legos. He is a voracious reader and enjoys watching America Ninja Warrior with his brother. He's an introvert to his core and reserves smile and laughter for moments that you have truly earned. He has a very witty and dry sense of humor and when he speaks, you want to listen because his words are carefully chosen.

Thank you God that twenty-nine years ago, Joan and Roy adopted a little girl named Bri. And that eighteen years later she would let us adopt this amazing man. What a honor to raise Him. I praise the Lord that he loves Jesus and I praise the Lord for His life.
