PUPPY UPDATE: FN 1287 (Finn)

Here is Abigail with FN 1287 "Finn" the day before we handed him off to his forever home. Finn went home on Wednesday, June 13. Finn has been one of our favorites from the beginning. He's just such a mellow pup with absolutely adorable markings.

Finn's new family is one that we are well connected to. Yamil and Patty were stationed on Eglin AFB in Florida with us and then joined us in Turkey for a year. I was able to meet their little Troy before we left Turkey. They are now out of the military and living in Tampa with their six-year-old boy. We are hoping to visit them in February and get to see "The Finnster."

I plan to keep one Blog page going for each of our seven pups so that we can see what they are up to and doing. We are excited these are ALL going to families we know so that we can stay in touch with them through photos and maybe even in person. New pictures will go under these words with a date below each picture so that our family can watch these little beauties grow.

I must tell you that doing these puppies has been one of the funnest and finest things we have done on our farm. Not only has it been a financial help to the farm, but it has brought us immeasurable joy. We DO plan to do another litter in the spring and are already compiling a list of people interested.

PUPPY UPDATE: "Moana"

Here is Abigail with the currently unnamed "Owl" or "Meadow". Her new family will be naming her after a Disney princess; UPDATE: They chose MOANA. She is the last pup and she spent quite a few days as a solo puppy here.

Moana's new family is a family I knew in the Azores that now has a goat farm near Tampa, Florida. They are devoted animal people who have recently said good bye to their furry friends and are finally ready for another.

I plan to keep one Blog page going for each of our seven pups so that we can see what they are up to and doing. We are excited these are ALL going to families we know so that we can stay in touch with them through photos and maybe even in person. PUPPY UPDATE: Ritter Jr.

Here is John with Ritter, Jr. just before we handed him off to his forever home. Ritter, Jr. went home on Monday, June 11.

Ritter's new family is my friend Robin. I actually wrote a post about the story of how he came to be her dog here.

Annual Halloween Awards

Every year I pull some of my favorite family Halloween pictures from Facebook and Instagram. There are so many cute kids that I base my contest on FAMILY pictures only. I may have missed your's on my feed so don't take it personal. It's simply to have some fun and respect families that have fun together.

1st PLACE

Has to go to the Connor family for a number of reasons. The first being John is just absolutely CRACKING me up in this photo and because he reminds me of my husband and I can't IMAGINE him doing this. Also after years of infertility, the fact that they are Power Rangers is just so so so awesome to me. LOVE THIS!
 2nd PLACE

2nd place goes to my friends Patty and Yamil simply because they have one of OUR puppies in the picture with a very funny bandana on. Love this family!
I've decided to give a 2nd place tie in my contest to another Harry Potter family mainly because the owl is so cute. THat's my main reason for voting on this one!
3rd PLACE
My friend Kara and family for amazing creativity. This one made me smile mainly because their daughter looks very unhappy with the choice :)
Honorable Mention
It's been a busy year for my friend Angelica and family so I want to give them credit even though Dan failed to dress up. (If he would have worn his pilot's uniform I would have given the more points!) Love this group.

Didn't Quite Make the Cut

While the parents are present, these costumes from my friend Michelle's family just cracked me up! Aren't her three kiddos cutie pies?
Again, no parents but oh my gosh that wolf is so adorable I had to give this props.

And this costume was so incredibly well-done. Bravo Kristin: Eliza and Hazel you rocked it!
