We ...

We ... are watching our trip progress.

We ... need to get to AAA at some point to get our international driver's licenses. Actually, only I need one. We think JB's military ID will do the trick. But I think we are going to get one for each of us anyways. What the heck!

We .... well, mostly JB, has been running around trying to meet the checklist of items that have to be in the van in order to put it on the ship to Turkey. We had to get a fire extinguisher and lights and stuff like that. He also needs a tow wire. He hasn't been able to find it anywhere around here, but he's still looking. Unfortunately, no one answers the phone at the port in the Baltimore Port to ask any questions or secure any information. If you call, you just get a message giving you information. And if that information doesn't meet your needs, I guess you are out of luck.

We ... managed to secure a letter from our bank saying we own the van. John also got a copy of our registration at the DMV without much issue at all.

We continue to mail boxes of "stuff" over to our APO Box in Turkey. We figure the less we have to try to take with us to Baltimore and on the airplane to Turkey, the better.

We ... are also enjoying time with our families in the midst of tying up lose ends. JB and his sister built an arbor for the family's garden today. And we also had some Indian take-out at Roy and Joan's (my Dad and Mom and Bri were there too) this evening.

We ... are getting closer and closer to saying good bye and beginning a new adventure. It's a bittersweet time. We're excited to get our new life moving forward. But we aren't really prepared to say good bye for lengthy periods of time.

We ... keep thinking how fortunate we are to live in a time where technology is what it is. How hard would this be before Skype and email and web cams and YouTube and Facebook?

I remembering treasuring letters so much before email, fb etc...

hey did you mean tow wire instead of toe wire --I had never heard of either one but we sure had fun making up a definition for the toe one !
