I always felt like I owed people a reason. Truthfully, it is no ones business other than yours, your husbands, and maybe your pediatrician. And I have found that most people, even if they choose a different feeding method than you, are very respectful and gracious. While I do think a lactation consult...TAV, EXACTLY! While I do think a lactation consultant can "work wonders", in my case it appears my milk just comes out very, very slowly. This can't be changed -- only "improved." Both my babies had failure to thrive. It is okay if you aren't successful. You can try hard if you want. As someone who has seen many women st...I love this! As someone who has seen many women struggle to breastfeed-- just due to anatomic/physiologic issues, it really does remind us that it can't always be done successfully, regardless of how hard a woman tries and however much others make her feel guilt.
